WaterWorks has been serving small cities and rural areas since 1987. Our customers are the best in the world.
It is important that we provide the best software possible. If we don’t, our phone will ring off the wall. Most of our customers are very agreeable and easy-going. However, once in awhile we do have a customer who suggests an improvement. We really do appreciate our pleasant customers but the fact is we have learned a lot from those that "gripe". In desperation to please one customer’s "unreasonable request" we often add a feature to meet their needs. Surprise, surprise, that new feature pleases other customers and potential customers.
We have learned to listen to our customers. That is why our software is so good.
Many of our clerks come into this business without previous experience. Over the years we have found that one of the most valuable services we can provide is training. When one clerk leaves and another steps in, sometimes the only training from the previous clerk is simply showing them how to turn on the computer. The new clerk is usually left looking at the main WaterWorks screen. Our 800 number is on that screen. We get 4 or 5 new clerks a month and we are happy to train them. We typically train clerks over the phone and avoid costly physical visits. We feel that our training of new clerks is the one of the most valuable services we provide our customers.
